LE STUDIUM Loire Valley Institute for Advanced Studies and Inserm Research unit U930: Imaging and Brain at University François-Rabelais of Tours are organising an international conference on acoustic bubbles in therapy in the French Loire Valley, on 23rd and 24th October, 2017.  The conference focusses on recent advances in the development and application of microbubbles in therapy. Plenary sessions include the following topics: bubble physics, bubble acoustic phenomena, bubble engineering and design, in-vitro evaluation, preclinical validations, and clinical studies. Key topics are microbubbles, ultrasound contrast agents, therapeutic ultrasound, bubbles clouds, microfluidics, sonoporation, ultrasound-guided drug delivery, and antibubbles.

The conference is limited to 80 participants. We are hoping to welcome both people from science and from the clinic.  We encourage students to give a poster presentation.

Elsevier Science has kindly set up a special issue of APPLIED ACOUSTICS (impact factor 2.3) for the proceedings of this event. Selected presentations will be invited to submit a full peer-reviewed paper. The submission deadline of these full papers will be 1st December, 2017.

For participants of the conference, the abstract submission deadline is 3rd September, 2017. We will notify the speakers within two weeks AFTER SUBMISSION whether their abstract has been accepted. Please submit through our website https://tinyurl.com/yak8olxc
Registration for the conference is open. We have managed to keep the registration fees affordable.

We are hoping to welcome you to Tours once more!
